Cole County Emergency Medical Service (CCEMS) WEB
- Comprised of (4) four operational divisions: Operations, Logistics, Training, Communications
- The Communications Division operates the Cole County EMS Emergency Communications Center (MedComm), a secondary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), which is responsible for providing Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) to any caller reporting a medical emergency in our jurisdiction. Utilizing Joint Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and 911 Phone Systems, the 911 Communicators work seamlessly with our communication partners at the Jefferson City Police Department Central Dispatch to deliver appropriate resources in the most efficient manner possible.
- Operations Division: Daily staffing consists of 7 ALS ambulances, 1 EMS Battalion Chief, and 1 EMS Duty Chief, for a total of 17 personnel. Divided in to 3 platoons (A,B,C shifts), working a rotating 48-hours on and 96-hours off schedule. Each ALS support ambulance is staffed with at least one paramedic and can deliver advanced and critical care level life support. Apparatus
EMD tiered response system to ensure appropriate resources are dispatched to each call for service
- Omega, Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie level call types are handled by a single ambulance resource.
- Delta level call types are handled by an ambulance and first responders. First responders in our jurisdiction consist of ALS and BLS fire department resources, and BLS volunteer medical first responders.
- Echo level call types are handled by an ambulance, a Battalion/Duty Chief, first responders, and law enforcement.
- 155.34 is used for ambulance-to-hospital reports
